Dear Friends and Family,
Our departure date will soon be upon us. We will be leaving Charleston on the 28th of this month, flying to Miami where we will meet up with the rest of our squad to then leave for our first country, Mexico. We are full of a host of emotions as departure approaches. We are excited and thrilled to be embarking on God’s calling, and still we are sad to leave our loved ones for a year. What drives us in this final month of preparation is our faith. Last September, God grabbed both of us together and in his arms assured us that this journey is what he is calling us to. Since then that moment has been our rock. And oh how God has been so faithful. In the past several months he has carried us through two major obstacles. He found a very reliable renter for our house and has provided temporary loving homes for our two dogs and two cats. It has been incredibly exciting watching God move and stay true to his promise to us.
We have been in the process of raising the needed financial support for this mission and are so very thankful for those of you who have already chosen to partner with us both in prayer and in financial donations. Investing in God’s work through gifts and prayer is a vital ministry in itself. As of today $2,610.00 has been given and $3,050.00 has been pledged, brining our total so far to $5,660.00. This leaves us with a remaining need of $24,340.00. Fortunately this entire amount does not need to be raised before we leave and we are believing God will provide what is needed when it is needed.
For this reason we are writing this update. We have an urgent deadline. In order to leave for this trip we need to raise $10,000.00 in two weeks. If we could find 100 people who are willing to donate $100.00 in the next two weeks then we will meet this goal. We are asking you to join us in prayer over this amount in the next two weeks. If you feel God is asking you to be a part of this ministry financially, please respond and if you are unable to give $100.00 that is ok too. Please pray and ask God to direct you in your giving.
