Dear Family and Friends,

I'm writing this letter to say an enormous THANK YOU to you for supporting me in my ministry. I cannot express how much of a blessing it was to go on the World Race and be a part of what God is doing in eleven countries all over the world. There's no way that I can tell you everything I did over the past year, but here's a little summary in list form of the countries (in order), ministry, and significant fruit:

In Dominican Republic we mainly did door to door evangelism and taught English. The kids were the highlight of the month for us and got to see how Compassion International at work. I had the opportunity to preach a Sunday service when I was there.

In Haiti we lived in a Compound in Grand Goave. We worked with Mission of Hope International and did a ton of construction. The work we did helped get the School/Church closer to completion and being the Light in a dark country.

In Romania we worked with a Christian Summer camp. Since it was winter time we were getting it ready for the summer. Some of our tasks were to paint, chop wood, burn grass and make a volleyball court.

In Moldova I was raised up to Squad Leader. Two others and I were chosen to lead the squad around the world, by guiding them and prepare them for the ministry of each country. During this month we were trained by our core leaders on how to be strong leaders for our squad, assigning teams to do ministry in each country and learn how to report the process of each country.

In Mozambique our team visited different teams to check up on the leaders. I witnessed 20 people come to Christ and shared the Gospel with 3 men who became believers.

In Swaziland we had Manistry were all the men were in one ministry. This is the month where we became strong brothers of Christ and learned to lean on each other for support as we worked hard to witness in this country.

In South Africa we traveled to many cities to see teams. One of our tasks as leaders was to secure visas for passage into India. God worked on my heart and took away the poverty mindset and replaced it with an abundant mindset.

In India we did a lot of home visits and prayed for people to leave their idols. We also preached at a different church in small villages each night. We also hung out with beautiful orphans the Indian’s called the untouchables.

In Nepal we ministered to children and women who were rescued from sex trafficking. We taught at a Bible University and shared the Gospel/stayed at a non-Christian accepting hostel.

In China we did a lot of friendship evangelism. We encaged with the locals to play basketball with us. By this ministry we were able to develop friendships and trust. While there we got to share the Gospel in Muslim cities. We also were part of a cafe/university student discipleship ministry.

In Philippines we worked with a Christian camp that is run by 16 year olds. They disciple and do outreach in nearby villages. It was an honor to have worked side by side with dedicated individuals that are serving the Lord. We also helped at the orphanage by helping with homework, doing bible studies and helped with bedtime.

Beyond this ministry that changed the lives of people I met all around the world, the year also changed my life. Much of the year was learning, seeing first hand of God’s wisdom, love and expanding his works. This year as I experienced God's power and redemption in my own life, I came to realize more and more what a privilege it is to be able to carry that same message of redemption and help bring others into that reality.
It's too hard to summarize the whole year and all the growth I've experienced. I have grown in living abundantly, believing in the power of prayer, following God's voice, speaking life and holding fast to truth, and walking out confidently in my spiritual gifts. Many times God called me, and without hesitation I spoke His words, sang His songs, and walked out His will. There's so much to celebrate! I feel that God has called me to dedicate my life to be a disciple for him.

As far as what's next for me, I'm heading off to Mijas, Spain for a School called Generation 42 Leadership Academy. G42 is an intensive six-month training program to get me to the point where I am confident and ready to have the Lord send, me out to plant churches, ministry work, or Christ centered business to grow the kingdom.

I do need support to attend the school and the cost is $6000. If you feel led to support and invest in me you can either send a check or support me online. If you would rather donate by check, make checks payable to G42 and mail to: G42, P.O. Box 130611, Houston, TX 77219-0611. Place the check in the pre-stamped envelope with the support card and please DO NOT put my name in the memo of the check. You can also go to http://www.g42leadershipacademy.org/donate. When you donate you will receive a receipt for your tax write off. I’m excited to have you join me and see how God given dreams unfold!
Thank you once again because I couldn't have done the World Race without your support! I would love to get together and connect with you to hear about your past year and share more stories from mine. Feel free to call (505-270-5561) or email me ([email protected])!

Your brother in Christ,
Brett
