I haven’t blogged too much this month, but we are in El
Salvador in a small town. We are living at the pastor’s house and it is so nice
here in El Salvador. The weather is about 90 during the day and 60’s during the
night. Rainy season just started so that cools things off too, it also makes
everything so much greener!
We have been praying for the town and just declaring God’s
love all over the place. We are preparing the way for Jesus to come in, sort of
like John the Baptist. He prepared the way for Jesus, and that’s what we are
doing too! Prayer and declaration is the FIRST thing that we need to do when we
get to a new place or starting the day.
There are a lot of stories to share, but what just happened
was amazing! There were just four of us (that didn’t speak Spanish) and we were
going from door to door talking about Jesus, or trying to…haha! Anyways, we
went to this one lady’s house and she had the cutest daughter, who was 7 months.
We asked her if she knew Jesus, she said, “no” so we asked her if she wanted to
know. She said, “yes!” we knew that much Spanish for the small talk in the
beginning, but now it was way past our knowledge. We did have a Spanish/English
Bible though, so I looked for verses in my Bible and then looked them up in the
bilingual Bible and just read some verses to her about salvation! It was so AMAZING!! So we just witnessed about
Jesus Love to this woman without using any of our own words, we just read the
Bible to her in a language that she knew, it was so amazing!
That’s all. I just wanted to share that with you…I’m so
excited, it’s crazy!
