Now it all makes sense! On Sunday, during my free time, I decided
to help out with the children’s ministry at the church. We all got bookmark
shaped invitations to the Children’s ministry at the Church. Then we put on
some funny hats and ties and walked about 15 minutes to a huge park. Now, these
children were from the ages of 4 to 9 years old. They were at the park, running
around, handing out invitations to church and little pamphlets.

For me, it wasn’t until I was in college that I ever handed
out an invitation to church or evangelized to someone. These kids are starting
at 4 YEARS OLD!! No wonder
evangelism comes naturally to them when they get older.

My point is: evangelism and inviting people to church needs
to start at a young age. For these little children, it is NATURAL for them to
invite people to church and tell them about Jesus Christ and what He did for
us. He died for me. He died for you. He died for everyone. He took the
punishment for ALL our sin. Then three days later, God raised Him from the dead
and now He is waiting for us to accept His act of true love. This is considered “Normal Christian Living” to these
kids. It wasn’t normal until college, and felt so awkward when I did it.

So: have children invite people to church, tell people about
Jesus, pray (Matthew 18: 3-5, 10), etc. If they do this while they are young,
it will be normal for them when they get older.

That day is going to be a day that I never forget, it was
AMAZING! (Thanks Stephany for the pictures!)
