So we just got done sharing the gospel to our last village.
It was a village that we had to take a bus to, and we brought along our tents
and such to stay there overnight. We did not have a place to stay. We did not
have a place to cook our food. We did not have a place to go to the bathroom either!
We got dropped off and then split up into 4 groups. There
were four roads, so we each prayer walked one hour down the road and then
turned around. On the way back, we would stop at each house and talk to them,
offer prayer, and try to see if they had an interest in Jesus.
This was the same thing we would do at each village, but
this also had a different mission: we needed to find a place to set up our
tents. Read Luke 10, it pretty much explains what we did.
I am not going to write about every family that we met, but
to sum things up: everyone is extremely welcoming. We prayed for almost every
family and house that we went to, but that didn’t mean that they were exactly
Christians. Some wanted prayer even though they were involved in witchcraft;
they did this to ‘cover their bases.’ This door-to-door ministry was a great
learning experience and I was very glad that God had me here for the month.
My next blog tells about some stories and has some pictures,
so check it out if you want to know more!
God has been continuing to break me down. Humbling me like
crazy, like usual. Yeah, so much stuff is going on, a lot of self-processing. Looking at my like and
trying to mold myself to be more like Christ. Living in community is also something that is new and fun, yet very
difficult at times. I have been crying out to God recently…it’s good for me. I could
go on and on about what I’m learning, but let’s just leave it at -> I’m
learning soooo much!!
Well I don’t know what else to write about. But really there is too much to write
about and don’t know what to write: weird right?
