I have so much to blog about and I have no idea where to start or how to communicate it.

I guess I will start with an update:  We have been in Lima for awhile, searching for new contacts and visiting them.  One of the visits was to a teenage mothers’ home.  Their ages ranged from 14-18.  They were children themselves and had kids of their own.  I couldn’t imagine being in their shoes.  We got to sing with them, play games, and encourage them.  It was a great day.

We are about to head south to Arequipa (which means caramel, so I have decided that it therefore must be the caramel capital of the world).  There, we will look for more contacts before we head to Bolivia at the end of the month.

My time on the Race is ending.  I lack a little over three months.  I never thought at the beginning that I could get homesick, or be ready for a break.  But I am.  I will be ready for the end when it comes.  It will be bittersweet, though.

Have I mentioned that there is a STARBUCKS in Lima, the first I have seen in 8 months?  (Cue angel chorus)

I will eventually blog about more of life.  I have noticed my creative juices flow a little better at night, so perhaps soon.

16 hour bus ride tonight.  Which isn’t bad.  23 hour bus ride at the end of the month.  Which also isn’t bad because I believe we have comfy seats.  And last bus ride they played Jurassic World and the Fast and the Furious 7.
