This month my team is working with Higher Ground, a camp ministry for disabled individuals.  One of the campers I was looking after during our first camp was Carl.

Carl needs a fair bit of help throughout his day as he has Epilepsy, Anxiety, and a form of Cerebral Palsy.

He walks with a slight limp and is only partially verbal, communication was difficult.  What amazed me the most is despite his difficulty walking, he bounced on a trampoline for almost half an hour without breaking a sweat or slowing his pace.

Fairly early in the week he started to follow me around every where that I went.  Even if it was just across the room or down the beach another 10ft.  He would get excited whenever he saw me waving every few minutes and grinning ear to ear.

It was cool at first but after awhile my selfishness just wanted some space.  I did my best to continue loving him and caring for him without letting my attitude get in the way.  Then Sunday morning the last day of camp, we were standing up front together singing worship songs and it hit me.

This is how my walk with God should be!  I should get excited to be in the presence of God.  I should follow after Him wherever he goes, even if I don't know exactly where that might be.  The best thing is God never gets tired of us pursuing Him.  He is always there caring for us and ready to lead us where we should go.
