I am $1,000 closer to my fundraising goal!!
Last Thursday and Friday (July 9 and 10) my friend Bridget hosted a yard sale for me. The Fulton’s, Flint’s, Doolittle’s, Shankland’s, and others I’m forgetting about or don’t know about, along with the Roberts’ and my family, donated items to be sold. We prayed that God would exceed our expectations and He did. We had a few large items, and a whole lot of clothes and books and we also had a few nice donors who gave extra when they found out what the sale was for. Anyway, the sale ended Friday with just over $900 in sales and we still had a large weight bench left.
Well, I had been fasting and praying for the sale on Wednesday and into Thursday, and on Friday Bridget laid hands on that and a table that wasn’t selling. Not too long after that the table sold, but we still had the weight bench…
God is absolutely amazingly awesome!

until Sunday…
But, like I’ve been saying, God is AWESOME and someone bought the bench last night! Thanks Jay! And that, my friends, put the grand total from the yard sale at just over $1,000!
Also, completely random, Bridget met a couple whose daughter went on the World Race a couple years ago! They are from South Carolina and were in our little town in Michigan on vacation. Is God cool or what? I got to talk to them for a few minutes and then they brought their daughter, Christie, over the next day so I could chat with her for a few minutes too. So fun!
Back to the money issue 😛
While God just brought in $1,000 in a weekend I am still in need of $8,300 for the Race and $2,500 by the 20th of this month. I have complete confidence that God is more than capable of paying off my account without any help from you, but many times He asks us to give generously and allow Him to show Himself faithful in the details of our lives. So, I am asking you to please pray about partnering with me in spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ to the nations of the world by giving a generous financial gift.
