So! As you may or may not know, I’ve been accepted and am in the process of fundraising to be able to go to G42 leadership academy this January.

I’ve already a blog or two about G42, and so I won’t repeat that all here, other than to say that it’s a 6-month intensive internship/discipleship program that prepares you to enter into the world not only knowing who you are in Christ, but to bring Christ to the world who does not know him. It’s about learning how to bring the kingdom into every area of our lives, with no separation between “work life” and “home life” and “ministry life” and “family life.” It’s about preparing people for a life poured-out.

G42 is about $6500 which includes all food and lodging and tuition, and in order to help cover some of those costs, I’m going to be selling some lovely t-shirts (or tanks) designed by the one and only Brittany Gonzalez! Lots of colors and styles available.

This shirt, while seemingly simple, reflects a huge part of my heart for the people in this world. I think as an American/professional at keeping myself busy, I can get so wrapped up in the day-to-day to-do lists and stresses of this life that I end up becoming very selfish with not only my resources, but my time. I want to get from point A to point B as quickly as possible, and sometimes I ignore what’s going on around me to insure that I can check off another thing a to-do list that will never fully end.

My desire and my heart and my hope is that all people would know that they are valuable, that they are important, that they are worth my time and attention and acknowledgment.

I think about the people that check us out at the grocery store and our waiters and waitresses and the old man sitting by himself on a bench in the park. The people we see but don’t actually see. I want those people to know that they are worth it, to me. Worth the smile or conversation or unexpected lunch-date. And wanting to cultivate that kind of ‘making time’ lifestyle is a big reason I want to go to G42. If there’s anyone who can help me turn my dream of loving those that are looked-over into a sustainable business-minded model, then it’s the amazing staff in Mijas. So that’s my heart and desire for this shirt, and if you want to support me by buying one, visit this link!

Of course, if you’re not into t-shirts, you can also donate at my you caring page by clicking this link: https://www.youcaring.com/bree-rossi-459727

So thank you for reading this! Ever since leaving Spain in 2011 I’ve felt a burden on my heart to get back there, and I’m beyond excited to begin this new journey of discipleship and interning and planning  and focusing on what contribution I can make in this world where people are desperate for genuine love.

I think, through walking with Jesus himself, his disciples really believed they could change the world. Through walking with Jesus myself, I believe the same.

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’–Matthew 25
