On the last night that Dan and I were staying with Holland’s team in Pader, Uganda, Pastor JJ called us into his one room home to say his good-byes. The flickering light from the lantern dimly lit our surroundings as we took our places alongside him, his wife and small son sitting on the floor.
“As we looked around our home, we tried to find something worthy of sending you off with…but we found nothing. All we can offer are our prayers.”
Greatly humbled…we all held hands as Pastor JJ prayed blessings over our travels…our futures…our lives. He spoke with such sincerity and intensity…you could feel the very presence of heaven invading the air as we breathed. His prayers far exceeded any gift he may have mustered.

Thank you to everyone who supported the J-Squad fundraiser through prayers and finances!
We are happy to announce that we were able to raise $2155 on behalf of Pastor JJ and Victory Outreach Church. A future World Race team or another AIM mission team will be hand delivering the money in the next couple months — whichever is sent to Pader first. No running water or electricity means no wire transfer. 🙂
I can not begin to tell you what an enormous blessing this will be to Pastor JJ and the community. The money will be used to build their own church building since the building they are currently using will no longer be available.
Our sincere thanks!
