It is my personal belief that the greatest desire of humankind is to be known and to be loved. From the moment we are conceived we are built to receive love and that love actually determines our physical, emotional and spiritual health. As we grow into children our greatest desire is for our father and mother to see us and be proud. We are wired for affection, we are wired for love and to be known. If you have ever watched or worked with children they almost always try to get your attention in everything they do weather it be kicking a ball or signing their name. They desire for you to be proud of them, they desire for your love and affection towards them and that makes them believe they can do anything. When a child knows that kind of love they don’t worry about tomorrow or weather or not they make their father proud because they know he’s proud and they know they are fully loved. That child will operate out of a place of being fully loved and known they will not feel the need to earn or work for something they have already received. This is an example of how a child’s life should be, this is how a true son and daughter of our heavenly father should be.
In the world today their are an estimated 150 million orphans not counting those that are being sex trafficked, forced into slavery or made into child soldiers. We live in a world where the word orphan has become common place. Their are many more orphans in the billions who physically have parents but have been orphaned from their true heavenly Father, they don’t know who they are or why they were made. As you know I have had the opportunity to travel to 7 countries and in each country I have encountered the same thing an orphaned spirit. Weather i’m in a church Sunday morning, working in the slums or doing street evangelism I am in constant conversation with men and women who are trying with all their might to be pleasing to their God. Weather they pray 5 times a day, preach 10 sermons, read their sacred book for 2 hours or hurt others in the name of their God its all for his love and affection. They have no clue why they were made and they desire love and acceptance so badly that they will do anything in order to earn it. This is obviously not an excuse to the the terror that has taken place in the world all in the name of religion. As I stated in the first paragraph, a child that’s fully loved and known will operate out of that place they won’t feel the need to earn or work for their parents affection because they know that they have already received it. We are living in a time in history where wars, bombing and fear have become so normal that we have become apathetic to them. We hear of a shooting or a bombing and we’ve become so used to them in the day to day that it just becomes a way of life. If we look at the world today without the eyes of the spirit we will often feel hopeless or have numbed ourselves to not feeling anything at all. We are an orphaned generation crying out for the love of the heavenly Father weather we know it or not. I said all of these things to say this! I believe we are on the brink of the greatest awakening the world has ever seen. I believe it is an awakening to our heavenly Father. It is a purifying and a readying for the bride to meet her groom. Many are fighting it because they are comparing their man made wisdom to past ways that God has moved, but God is about to move some furniture in the church. Every time I get on my knees to pray I feel his heart ache for his bride to know who she is and step into that place so that the world might have and encounter with Jesus. He is moving and shaking things i’ve seen it in prayer and i’ve seen it in the nations. Orphans are becoming sons and daughters and because they feel his love and affection are becoming laydown lovers for his glory. It is time to stop looking at the past and ask our Father what he is doing now. I believe this next great awakening has an army that is nameless and faceless because the only name that has place to be glorified is Jesus. It wont be how it used to be in the past, God wants to use all of his children not just the famous evangelist down the street. Weather you comes from a long line of preachers or your a carpenters Son God is calling you to heal the sick, raise the dead and proclaim the kingdom. We must change our perspective of what its going to look like and ask the Father what he is doing. This army is going to look different from anything we’ve ever seen. It will be tatted, scared, clean shaven, have every language and every color. It will be an army that’s full of men and women that were once orphans but they found their Father and are laydown lovers for his glory! If you want a name and a title this army is not for you, but if you want Jesus to be glorified and the world to know the fathers love then our heavenly Father might just be calling you higher. His love breaks every wall and every stronghold it is his love that is about to make war against the religious spirit that keeps people orphans and from knowing him. He is crying out for his bride and he is crying out for your heart to know he loves you and you are his son and his daughter that he died for!
