Most of my life I have worked and performed for love. I lived as an orphan inside believing that people would only love and accept me if I looked and talked a certain way. The world today is constantly telling us who we should be and how we should act and often times our families do as well, but God says different. By the time we turn 18 we have already been told what to wear, where to go to school and what mold of person we should look like. We’ve worked so hard to be loved and accepted by those around us that we’ve forgotten the dreams and the visions that God has placed in us when we were children. We begin to put on masks for each situation never fully showing who we for fear that we will face rejection. It becomes like Halloween all year long, and we begin to lose ourselves in the acceptance of others and the weight of this world.

I used to live like this, who i was didn’t seem good enough or important enough so i would mask my pain and put on the mask that fit the situation. One thing i’ve learned and found most valuable about life and people is there uniqueness. If you truly watch people in a room you can begin to see who God created them to be and it is absolutely beautiful.

We love to watch movies like divergent and hunger games because the heroes in these movies break out of the molds of what society says is appropriate, and they become people that make change. We see through their journeys that they are rejected and their is a lot of pain, but in the end they create a new wave of change. I know it’s a movie obviously, but it is very prophetic to how society reacts today. Most of the people in this world go on day in and day out in a specific mold for fear of rejection and for fear of change.

The thing I love about God is he sent Jesus to abolish the law so that we no longer have to work for love, but from love. We do not have to perform with God we are simply sons and daughters if we will accept his love. I am truly convinced that if every man, woman and child in the world got to truly experience sonship with the father that they would leave everything behind for that love. Theirs no law (religion), you don’t have to be good enough, smart enough, or pretty enough! Jesus is your righteousness! I’ve heard people all my life say they had to get their lives straightened out before they came to church. It always made me laugh because the church is for the orphans and the broken to come and receive that free love and sonship.  Church and religion becomes corrupted when we try to work for our own righteousness and then expect others to live by the standard we’ve created. The world is full of people with an orphan mentality that don’t know who they are or what they were made for!

First of all we were made sons and daughters and then God put his own unique ingredients into each of us. Some can sing, dance, act or see the world in a whole new way, but each is beautiful. One is not above another, their is no competition because everyone knows who they are, why they were made and their purpose. I believe in a movement like that where people become aware that they are sons and daughters, a freedom movement. That by the blood of Christ and his revelation we understand and know who we are and where we stand and its good enough because our father and creator created it.

I am simply a daughter; his daughter and im learning to walk in it everyday. Sometimes i forget and want to put on a mask, but then he reminds me that who he created me to be is good enough because of the blood of Christ. There is no striving in his love!
