To say I struggle with life and its temptations and fears would be an understatement. From lust to the past and its regrets, I struggle with things on a daily basis with each and every second being a new battle. And it seems that the closer I get to leaving for The World Race, it feels like these temptations and traps only get bigger, scarrier, and more intimidating for me. In response to this, the only thing that I can truly ask myself sometimes is “What are you doing?” Life is difficult, and it’s easy to find reasons to complain. But do I have the right? No.

My life, even with this difficult season, is full of blessings. In fact, to attempt counting them would be foolishness. There are simply so many to count! God has blessed me in ways that I cannot begin to understand nor comprehend, and Im in total thankfulness for His loving grace. I simply do not deserve it. Yet, God graciously gives.

The diffuicult times in our lives are going to come and go just like the easy moments where we are feeling as happy as we can possibly be. But I know for myself, I tend to struggle, skirmish, and fesrfully react my way through the hard parts instead of relying on God. Do NOT attempt or do what I do too often! It’s nothing short of stupidity! Instead, we should be fighting our spiritual enemies through God and his power.

I love what Psalms 56 says about trusting in God in moments where we are afraid to act because we are being tormented by our enemies, and I feel like the whole chapter can be summed up in just the first four verses.

Psalms 56:1-4 NLT
O God, have mercy on me, for people are hounding me. My foes attack me all day long. I am constantly hounded by those who slander me, and many are boldly attacking me. But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you. I praise God for what he has promised. I trust in God, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do to me?

When David wrote this, his enemies were real, flesh, and blood people. However, I think it applies to the struggles we go through when we are being attacked by things that we encounter daily as well. God will always be there for us. Heck, He is with us NOW through the Holy Spirit and therefore we shouldnt be afraid of what demons and Satan may throw at us. Obviously there are going to be times where we are going to be overwhelmed in life, and I feel that’s okay. It’s human. However, calm down and know you are protected by God. There is nothing to fear.

Isaiah 35:4 NLT
Say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, and do not fear, for your God is coming to destroy your enemies. He is coming to save you.”

God will save you if you allow Him. So for this blog, I challenge you to look inside yourselves and question if there is anything you are afraid of, or tend to struggle through. If there is, are you giving it up to God or are you relying on your own power to fight through it? If you are, I strongly urge you to leave whatever it is at the foot of the cross, turn around, and never look back at it.
So until next time, know that you all are loved and appreciated by me. Your love, prayers, and support is a blessing, and you are a gift! I love you all dearly and I am praying for you all! God bless and have a good day wherever in the world you are!
