what can I say bouts this first month? well this first month has bean both an awesome and hard month, and God has turned the hard stuff around in our team and used it to grow us and bring us closer to him, We started out in Quito, gots to go to the equator, we prayed for a few days and God gave us a plan, witch we did stick to, but through it all our team has struggled with trusting and be’n open with each other and be’n vulnerable in loving each other, even I at one point broke down and cried, but also through the month we have been very spoiled, it has been like a vacation, but at the same time it’s bean awesome to find diff ministry’s and get to know there heart and see them do the work God has called them to with such passion, from Quito to Cuenca 10hr bus ride, we stayed with the Leeks witch are an amazing American missionary family, we where very spoiled there they cooked for us and well we was just spoiled haha, we found a few new contacts there in Cuenca, but at the same time since we was so comfortable there we had to force our selfs to get out and do what’s we where there for, there’s so much ice cream in Cuenca π then from Cuenca we went another 10hr bus ride to Baños, stayed at the coolest house ever, dr west built his whole place out of rocks he found here around the volcano, oh yea Baños is only 4 miles from the most active volcano in Ecuador π then we went over to the edge of the jungle to Shell, stayed with a family that lives right behind Nate saints house, and probly one of the coolest places we went to, we gots to hike through the jungle and bike ride, saw some monkeys π the best part thou was getting to hang out with the missionary’s there and work with them and see what an average day looks like for them, from visiting family’s in the jungle to play’n with the kids at the orphanage, and to see things like the two lil girls one was raised by dogs and one spent the first 3 years of her life raised in the jungle by animals, it sounds crazy but it’s true, they have to be watched really close or they’ll blot out into the jungle and rip all there clothes off and won’t be found for days, and I made friends with this one lil guy named Jonny, every time he seen us he would run right past every one strait to me yell’n Amigo Amigo! lol now we are here again in Baños for debrief, my team got here first before anyone els so we had a day with the squad leaders all to our selfs π and went and repelled down a water fall and jumped off a 135ft water fall, pretty sweet, so yea this first month has been more like a vacation then do’n actual ministry, but at the same time as a team we was struggling pretty hard, and looking back for me personally I can see how this month God was giving me rest as well as growing me closer to him, debrief has been awesome getting to worship to songs in English is pretty sweet haha and God has been working so much in this whole squad getting us ready for the month ahead, we head out for Peru Firday so we got a 10hr bus ride to Cuenca then bout 13 to 15 hr bus ride to the Puru border then another 5 or so hr bus ride to Trujillo witch is on the coast, said to be a pretty ruff city, ps pics wont upload on this blog here will try to get some on fb
