So I guess this is where all of my logic based readers and I part ways, I know this because I was there before. For those of you who know me, you all can attest to the fact that I am a logic based mind, and I stick to truth. When I would read about what has been happening over the last week I would give a “Praise God!!!!!” and politely no longer continue to read that persons blogs, I would just chalk it up to the human mind and pretty much take the glory away from God. At this point some of you may know what I’m talking about while others are sitting scratching their heads. I’m talking about healing people with nothing but prayer. What?! What are you talking about? I’m talking about walking up to someone that is in pain and praying for them and boom God takes away their pain and or heals whatever is wrong.

That right there…. That’s what my mind would never let me accept as true. Yes I believe that God is still God and that if he did it in the bible then he’d do it today. Yet for some reason I found it so hard to accept it.

I’m going to tell you about two different people and the way that God came bursting into their life. First was and older woman anywhere from 60-75 my heart broke for just as it has been for most of the people here. When we stepped onto her land she stood up and slowly walked towards us, we obviously got to her before she took more then a couple steps. We then asked her if we could pray for whatever pain she had in her body. To which she asked us to pray for the pain that was in her legs. So we prayed, we just prayed pretty much that same little prayer asking God for healing, and asking God to really show himself to her. I opened my eyes after finishing praying expecting to see the same feeble old lady standing there just giving us a smile and a head wobble ( they wobble their head side to side to say yes rather then nodding) but when I opened my eyes she just had this expression of pure jubilation. The smile was from ear to ear. She didn’t even say anything she just began to pace back and forth. She almost looked bewildered and lost. I’ll admit I was a bit confused as to what just happened. Until she started running around her yard and then up the step and into her house. Even though many people had said they felt better after we prayed for them this one just seemed so real. I was now watching this woman that I watched struggle to walk run around. All I can say is that my mind was completely blown.

So the second of these stories happened not more then 12 hours ago so the visuals are just so fresh in my mind. This group of nine men walked up to us and like we’ve been doing all week we asked them what we could pray for. Three of them stepped forward and said that they had various pain. Before we prayed for them we asked them if they believed in Jesus, to which our translator looked a little sad and said no, I laughed and to myself said “not yet” I stepped up and prayed for the man in the middle, he had said that his eyes were in pain and that they have been hurting for some time. I placed my right hand over his eyes and just prayed my little heart out. I just asked more so just that God would just open all of there hearts and that they would be receptive to the gospel message I was going to give after we finished praying. The I asked God a little some crazy, I asked him to blow my mind with this. I finished pray and when I took my hand off his eyes I didn’t need I translator to tell me what was going on in this mans mind. His smile was across his face, I mean literally with no exaggeration it was from ear to ear. This was a huge change from the skeptical look he gave me as I moved to place my hand over his eyes. He looked me dead in the eye and took a step back. Our translator looked at him and said a few words, I wish I knew what they were. The it hit me, I still get to share the love of Christ with these guys. As the words started to come from my mouth I just looked at the other two men who also had somehow lost all their pain. And their friends all just seemed so interested. So after I preached the gospel to them, these nine grown men accepted Christ into their lives. Seeing men accept Christ is just such a beautiful thing and to see this group of men have their lives changed and their perceptions about God just blown out of the water just made everything else fade away. The man that I had prayed over went and got his daughter and just the love that he had for her just made me sure that this mans the real deal.

These are just two of the stories that have hit me over the last week of ministry. Oh and just a quick look at the numbers from this past week…..
Well over 100 people gave their life to Christ including 40(yeah that’s right, 40) today
Also well over 100 people with anything to minor aches and pains to full blown pain and problems gone.
This past week, the first week in India has been insane God is doing such HUGE things here. I’ve gotta get ready for week two!
