So after a 13+ hour train ride in what seemed like a 1960’s train, we have arrived in Moldova. This place is absolutely beautiful! Although as we walk through the parks here it seems that the older you get the less likely you are to put a shirt on in the morning. There are a handful of different things I’ve noticed here as well. It seems as if no one likes to smile here, it’s almost as if you can see a broken past in the eyes of the people that live here. I mean don’t get me wrong, I don’t walk around singing show tunes or anything but you can just see it in there eyes here. We don’t really stick out like sore thumbs yet. However people can tell we aren’t from around here. We’re being picked up by our ministry contact tomorrow afternoon, and tomorrow morning we get to learn all about the cultural norms here. I can already tell that this is going to be an amazing month
