As I take advantage of the free flights that I talked about in my last blog I’ve found that I LOVE the window seat. It’s likely not for any reason you may think about. Yeah the view is great, yeah taking off and landings are also awesome. It’s because I can sit and look out this window for hours in awe, complete awe that this above bird’s eye view is kind of how God views the earth. He sits atop his throne in the heavens with the earth as his foot stool. From up here the cars on the road are only visible if you focus really hard. To which you will just end up hurting your eyes. The reason I sit in awe? Well it’s because of the amazing realization I get, about me and God. I can barely even make out if what I’m looking at is a car, and yet God can see the missing lug nut on your front left tire. I’m always trying to be more Christ like, yet with all my efforts I will always fall so unbelievably short. I will never amount to anything even remotely worthy in Gods eyes. Sitting up here in this airplane looking down trying to see the cars is a perfect example. I may have better eyes then the person next to me so I can see the car way down there, but God wants me to read him the license plate. So we’re both screwed even if I can see the car and they can’t even see out of their window. However there is a chance to be able to read that license plate. Not that I can ever even come close to reading it. But the person sitting next to me knows what it says. Is it cheating to ask him what it says? HECK NO! As unfair as it may seem in this game, God gave the go ahead, he gave us all the same option. He gave his son the answer, and then sat him on the plane next to everyone. The only thing is that he is the only one that can help you read it. How can I help others, how can you help others? Stand up and tell people about that guy sitting next to them. Simply it is that easy, others may choose to ask him for help and others will sit on their pride saying “I can almost read it” even though they may not even know what car their looking at. There is no way that we can do this on our own, just ask for help.
