that isn’t enough for me. i think that we as Christians have access to a deeper peace, but in that peace we do not sink into a quiet non-active tranquil state where we sit on a sofa and imagine pretty colors and swimming with dolphins. instead we feel a peace that comes from the Lord that gives us the courage and strength to go out and be bold! a peace that allows us to love the hard to love, to give when we don’t have much, to speak out the truth that He has given us, all because we have peace that Jesus is there with us watching over us, protecting, speaking the words for us…
“I am telling you these things now while I am still with you. But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you. “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” John 14:25-27 NLT
He has given us the gift of peace. take it. use it. be bold with it. it is a gift. don’t let it sit on a shelf and collect dust.
