went home to kansas last weekend, and in a whirlwind of a trip the Lord really blessed my support raising by allowing me to speak at my home church. my family set up a little luncheon after, and we expected 20-25 people, and 45 showed up! God is good. anyone who came, thank you so much, it was so encouraging for me to get to share my heart for this upcoming year, and your support, prayers, and willingness to ask questions was amazing!
had a car wash yesterday, and the last car that came through was by far the biggest blessing. throughout the day i told people about what we were raising money for, and most politely said “that’s nice,” and went on their way. got a few people that said they would pray for us, which was cool, and then came the last couple of the day. i spoke with a woman and her husband for about 10 minutes, and at the end she asked to pray for me… and boy did she pray. she called on the Lord for blessings on the trip, and for gifts from the Holy Spirit for me, and protection from satan, and there is no doubt in my mind that this woman was hearing from the Lord, and listening and obediently pass along words of wisdom. the things she prayed lined up to the T to things i have been praying recently, and it was so cool to experience that, knowing full and well it was from GOD.
forget money, i want some more prayers like that =)
