Life is full of obstacles. Some are bigger than others, but they all try to block us from

getting where we want to be. I went hiking today and found myself thinking about

how if we don't climb over the logjam infont of us, then we just might be missing

out on the very thing that you don't want to miss.

There was one woman that called it quits halfway through the logs and let fear get the best of her.

I found myself wondering whether she would have done it differently if she knew what was on the

other side. Jesus is doing so much in my life right now and one of those things is unmasking

fear. He is showing me how when I get afraid, to bring it to Him. Letting Jesus shine His light

and truth on the situation. Every device of the enemy tries to keep us from Jesus' plan for us.

And fear is one of those devices. 2 Timothy 1:7 says, "For God has not given us the spirit of fear;

but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." It's not something He gave me and so I let Him

take it away.

This picture below is a look back down the canyon and the logs are pretty insignificant.

I feel like thats how most if not all of the obstacle that satan puts infront of us turn out to be.

Once we get past them, its easy to take a deep breathe and say, "that wasn't too bad…"

Although sometimes hard, whats really important to remember is that Jesus has

good stuff for us on the other side of the opposition. That's why satan is trying to

disgourage us. To keep us from the light on the otherside of the tunnel.

Or in this case the hidden waterfall on the other side of the logjam.

Some of you might be thinking about how thats a dead end and that I'm going to have

to go back over the logs. This is actually really cool because Jesus was showing

me all sorts of good stuff! I feel like sometimes we go back over the same obstacles.

It can get a little discouraging when I deal with something I already thought dealt with.

The Lord of Heaven and Earth loves to speak to me through my experiences with nature.

The second time over the obstacle, I was so much more confident and almost ran over it.

And look what was on the otherside a half a mile down the creek!

God is so very good all the time!!!
