I have not written a blog in almost an entire month. There are a million things to be said about this, but I am only going to give you one. I was tired. My laziness and lack of assertiveness in connecting all of you, my faithful and loving readers, to what I have been up to is due to the straight up fact that I have been exhausted. Exhausted as a racer, as a team leader, as a believer, as a worshipper, and as a lover of fellow man. My time in the Philippines was amazing and I enjoyed it but I left feeling ready for a rest. I was in desperate need for new vision for this team that I call my family and for some loving, prophetic, and honest words that we all call life.
Enter 4 month debrief. The first four days in Thailand we get to host a few AIM staff and are honored to receive some teaching, some tender-loving kicks in our behinds, and an over abundance of life for our weary souls. To make the long story of these past few weeks short, God has blessed my life with some new found energy. A renewal that can only be felt when the Holy Spirit fills a room and your heart.
Thank you God, my Father, for giving me rest, strength, new vision, new hope, more intentionality, stronger faith, a bold spirit, a lion heart, undeserved favor, unwarranted love, prophetic truth, a spirit of revelation, and more life than I could ever ask for at my fingertips. Christ, I trust in you and what you have already placed in me. Help me not dwell in past regrets and comparisons to the greatness I see in others, because I know that you have placed greatness in me and I humbly receive that truth in my life.
The Man With Unclean Lips,
Brandon Barnum
