During Christmas break of my freshman year of college, I accepted Jesus
into my heart.
Three years ago I made a commitment to live a life
glorifying to Christ.
Three years ago I laid down my past & was
renewed in Jesus Christ.
Three years ago I told the world I am a new
creation.
–2 Corinthians 5:17– Therefore, if
anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
My question to you is
when did you make Jesus Lord over your life?
Was it when you were in Sunday school at a young
age?
Was it at camp when you were a preteen?
Was it at a conference that you went to with your
youth group?
Was it at a retreat you went to in college?
My real question is… When did you make your faith
your own?
Did your faith blossom from your parents’ faith in Christ?
OR
Did you find Jesus after not being raised in the Church?
I want you to take a second and really search your
heart.
Have you made Jesus #1 in your life?
Do you let Jesus rule over your decisions?
Jesus came to this earth for you and me.
He came here so that we could
have new life.
–Romans 6:4– We were therefore
buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised
from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
He came here so that we could
have freedom from our sins.
–Romans 5:8– But God
demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ
died for us.
He came here so that we could
proclaim His Name among the nations.
–Psalm 105:1– Give thanks to
the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done.
He came here so that we could
have eternal life.
–2 Thessalonians 2:16– May our
Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace
gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and
strengthen you in every good deed and word.
He came here so that we could be
saved by grace.
—Ephesians
2:8-9– For it is by grace you have been saved; through faith- and this not
from ourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works so that no one can boast.
