As many of you know, 11/11/11 is this Friday. I have previously written a blog about encouraging others to pray for The World Race during every 11:11 instead of “wishing” (click here to view this blog).God has laid an idea on my heart for this Friday which is 11/11/11—Fasting.
In Isaiah 58 it discusses fasting and how God can work through your fast.
“Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen:
to loose the chains of injustice
and untie the cords of the yoke,
to set the oppressed free
to loose the chains of injustice
and untie the cords of the yoke,
to set the oppressed free
and break every yoke?
Is it not to share your food with the hungry
Is it not to share your food with the hungry
and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter–
when you see the naked, to clothe them,
and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?
Then your light will break forth like the dawn,
and your healing will quickly appear;
then your righteousness will go before you,
and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard.
Then you will call, and the LORD will answer;
when you see the naked, to clothe them,

God has been doing a lot in my heart to lead me to this fast. I’ll be going to 11 countries in 11 months to make Christ known to all 11 countries. Hence, why I want to do this fast on 11/11/11. I know that God can move mountains in real life today. I know that God is going to be doing the things that are mentioned in the above passage while I am on The World Race. I know that God is already doing these things all around the world.
There is a need for PRAYER for the ministry of The World Race.
There is a need for me to fast for my own personal ministry with The World Race.
There is a need for the Body of Christ to join with me in prayer for God will hear our cries.
What am I asking of you?
I want you to pray. Pray for God to show you how you can join me in this fast on Friday. I’m not saying you have to fast from food, but I will let God lay what you need to fast on your heart. Some examples are cell phone, texting, food, internet, facebook, Daniel fast, sweets, or anything else that God may lay on your heart.
Topics to be in prayer for.
- For God to lead others to go on The World Race.
- For those that are currently on the field all over the world.
- For ministry to be fruitful.
- For God to guide those that are sharing Him all over the world.
- For provision for those that are reaching deadlines and don’t have funds.
- For God to continue working through my squad to bring us together as a family in Christ.
- For provision for myself, and my teammates to raise all of our support.
- For fundraising ideas to come through and be worth the investment.
- For The World Race staff to be able to do all that is necessary for us to be prepared for the field.
- For our eyes, ears, and hearts to be set on Jesus.
- For God to lead you in knowing how you can support me on this adventure.
Will you join me in prayer and fasting on 11/11/11?
