So, it’s been a while.  …again.

As I sat down to write a blog tonight, I found myself slightly discouraged as I sat staring at a blank screen again.  Eventually, I found my way over to a Skype chat with my boyfriend.  He’s a gem and does a phenomenal job at encouraging me in all sorts of ways, including when I feel at a loss for words yet also feel a responsibility (and desire!) to connect with and communicate to all of you!  He also happens to have a way of saying things that gets the point across while making me giggle.  So, I’m gonna let him speak for me tonight and post our conversation as it relates to the blogosphere.  Yes, I have his permission. 🙂

Brandi: …i should be writing a blog.
Brandi: it’s just not really working. :/
Scott: Haha aw. Why’s that?
Brandi: no idea.  there are just … no. words.
Scott: Ahhh. Maybe it’s still time to be silent on the blogs? (as much as I’m ready to read a new one)
Brandi: still?
Scott: I dunno. I just know sometimes the words don’t come to you until it’s time to write something profound. Then you knock my socks off!
Scott: Haha “still” cause you haven’t written one in awhile
Brandi: ah.  yeah, it’s true…well, i don’t know about saying something profound, but very true about the words not coming ’til they come.  …but, i just haven’t written anything (not even in my personal journal) for a month!
Brandi: i feel like i owe SOMEthing to my supporters…
Brandi: exactly.  your follow up comment about “still” is exactly why I feel I should post something.
Scott: Yea I understand.  But feeling like you owe it…is gonna stress you out and bind up the words even more, ya know?
Scott: It’s like having to pee…
Brandi: having to pee?
Scott: Even If you’ve been on a bus for 12 hours and reaaaalllly gotta go….
Scott: When you finally get to the bathroom, if you think about it too much, you can’t pee!
Scott: You gotta relax and let your body do it’s thing.
Scott: Same with writing.
Scott: You’ll “pee” when you’re ready 🙂
Brandi: hahhaa …but, the question is, whether or not I try to squeeze out a drop/trickle or two before the free flowing comes?
Scott: No!  Then you’ll just wind up getting a urinary tract infection!
Scott: Drink some water (experience life, pray, talk to people) and when it’s time to pee, make sure you’re near the squatty-potty!  (notebook/laptop)
Brandi: hahaa!
Scott: Plus, if you push too hard, you might end up with a bunch of crap when all you were trying to do was pee…

Brandihhhaahahahaahahaahahahaahaahahaahahahaahahaa!!

So, here’s my attempt at not “pushing too hard” while still posting something to all of you to touch base.  I hope you know that my lack of blogging is not entirely intentional.  Perhaps it’s just a result of an unnatural ability to drink lots of water without having to pee quite yet…

[p.s.  did you giggle, too?!?]

Love and hugs to you all!!
