Recently, I’ve found myself in an internal battle.  I am confident the Lord has called me to the Race at this time, in this season.  So, I am confident that He will provide for it.  Truly.  Still, there is something that creeps in to shake that confidence.  Is it doubt?  Is it unbelief?  I’m not quite sure.  All I know is that I don’t always rest in that confidence.

Today, I found incredible encouragement from TWO different sources.  Father is so gracious.  He speaks when we don’t even know we need Him to.

The first source: I receive a daily “prophetic” email from a ministry based out of Dallas, Tx. This was today’s email:

May 14, 2010. Great faith is sometimes sunk by unbelief and doubt. Do not be discouraged when you have sunken in doubt. Perhaps in your own eyes you have failed Me. But I say unto you I see the end from the beginning. Your doubt and unbelief were but for a moment. Your steadfast faith from this point onward is what counts. The Apostle Peter did not quit and turn back. Instead, he became even closer to Jesus to the point that he was appointed the first New Testament pastor. His spiritual exploits for God were legendary following his embarrassing failure at sea. What matters is not that you failed; it is how you step up and move forward from that failure in great faith and obedience. I see the future and your manifested destiny. Good things ahead! (Scripture for the day: Matthew 14:28-33 (NASB)) -Ras Robinson

May 14, 2010. Don’t, don’t, don’t, back off the word I have given you. I know the circumstances indicate everything is opposite to that word. It is all right to have the facts, that helps keep you from denial, but don’t move into unbelief. If you crack the door it will rush in. Stand in faith believing My word. You may not summon all the faith I have given you right now, but you can turn away from unbelief. Turn your back on it. Don’t entertain it. Take every thought captive. I went through horrors and hell for you. I know you are hurting. I am here. Precious one let me comfort you.  (Scripture for the day: Romans 8:38-39 (NLT)) -Bev Robinson

The second source: I ventured over to a site I frequent to check out the recent articles and blogs. This article was the first one I saw. And, though there’s a bent toward the “singleness” trust issue, I think the fundamental Truth is still the same.  The LORD is so loving, so faithful, so understanding of our human hearts. He knows them. He knows our faith. He knows our desires. He knows our questions.  And He delights in all of it.

He designed it that way.
