We’re currently debriefing in Hong Kong and God’s doing some amazing stuff in our squad. When we got here we were dead and burned out but I’m happy to report we are now alive and on fire! Of course, anytime there’s revival there’s also a counterattack from the enemy. We have been attacked with sickness, injuries, transportation problems, family concerns, and all sorts of other things. But we are pushing through it all with a lot of prayer, love and grace for each other. I can say with confidence we are not the same squad we were a week ago. AMEN! Please pray for us that the fire continues to burn strong and that the trials only fuel our flames.
We will soon be heading out to do ministry in a really big Asian country that doesn’t like what we stand for. For the safety of our contacts and to prevent our squad being deported, I can’t give any specific details about where we’re going. We honestly don’t even know a lot of the details ourselves. However, I do know that we’ll be spending the first two weeks together as a squad at a cultural exchange school. In the mornings we’ll be taking classes on their culture, cooking, calligraphy, language and in the afternoons we’ll work one-on-one to help students practice their English. After that, the teams will split up and go out to different locations for several weeks.
I won’t be able to access internet for the month that we’re gone and will probably never be able to provide you with pictures online. I’ll be taking good notes though and will post what I can when we get to the Philippines. We expect to arrive in Manila around December 22nd and I will definitely be back in touch with everyone for the Christmas season (and my birthday!)
Please pray extra for us this month, for our squad and our ministry. Thank you so much for your support and encouragement. I love you all and miss you a lot!
