We are in the northern mountains of Thailand…
We have the chance to be a blessing to our contacts here! The pastor and his wife ars such amazing people! I have been so fortunate to spend time with them in the past two days! The pastor is about four feet tall and such an amazing man! He is fery affectionate and full of joy! Every morning he and his wife bring us breakfast! So far, every morning Pastor sings worship songs. His love for the Lord is so amazing and intense that he can not keep from singing! His wife is also amazing! She has a heart of gold and cooks like a champ! The take such amazing care of us!
Pastor and his wife have bought a plot of land recently and plan on building a refugee home for children. There is a major political issue in this area of the world! For security and safety we have been asked not to make mention of the countires. There ar bordering nations that are pretty jacked up and abuse children both in the sex trade and children soldiers. It is the goal of this refuge center to change some childrens lives. The plan is to start off small and really disciple children. The goal is quality not quantity! They want to raise children with parents and true discipleship! We are fortunate enough to be a part of this ministry and what God is doing.
The land is in rough shape. It used to be a farm owned by anamilists…. I may have misspelled that. The people that owned the land before practiced a religion that worship animals, other gods, and cast spells. So you can immagine there is a lot going on in the spiritual realm around us! We are cleaning the land both in the natural and spiritual! As we clean the debris we are praying God’s spirit upon the land and asking Him to heal that which has been broken! The land here is amazing! There is so much fruit already! There are tons of palm trees, banana trees, papaya trees, pineapples, chili peppers, and other stuff I have never seen! We are so lucky to be here!!!! We are lucky to clean the land for the Pastor and his wife!
By all means we are having fun also! We got really dirty working yesterday so we needed to clean up…. Football in the river!!!
