God has taken me to Guatemala for at least the next three months. I’m praying into what God has for me next right now. Maybe I will extend my time in Guatemala, go to another Latin America country, move to another State in the US, or whatever He has in store for me!

In High School and College I took three years of Spanish. My first international mission trip was to Venezuela in 2004. My experience was great and I love the people of Latin America. This also helps that I love rice, beans, tortillas, and I even like Guacamole now. Crazy!

My Spanish speaking is pretty choppy because when you’re not speaking in Spanish everyday then you lose the knowledge of verbs and this is very important for having effective communication skills.

One of my goals this year in 2015 is to become conversationally fluent in Spanish. If God tells me to stay in Guatemala or go back to the States next season this is an effective skill to have. Knowing multiple languages opens more doors for jobs on the mission field and back in the States.

My adopted people group is the Latin community.

Yesterday I attended my first Spanish class at CSA. Christian Spanish Academy. This is a grammar based Spanish school. The school focuses on knowing the order of saying things in Spanish! Highly recommended by the Adventures Staff here in Guatemala and Antigua has some of the best Spanish schools in the world! The added bonus is that you have one on one teaching! So good!

I’m going to at least take 20 hours of Spanish, twice a week. I want this tool in my tool belt to carry out to others effectively.

The cost for each two-hour session is $16.50 USD or 128 Q’s

For Twenty Hours of Spanish is $165 USD or 1,280 Q’s

If you would like to check out the school online it’s www.learncsa.com

If you feel lead to give towards me achieving my goal of speaking Spanish fluently. All support can be donated via PayPal.com My PayPal is [email protected]

I’m still in need of support for my time in Guatemala so if you would like to give towards the mission in Guatemala click the top link that says support me to set up a one-time gift or monthly support. I’m still in need of around $2,100 for this three month period.

Thank you for your support! God Bless from Antigua, Guatemala!
