God has created each one of us uniquely in His image and He has gifted each one of us uniquely with gifts to use to grow the Kingdom of God. (Romans 12:4-8 and 1 Corinthians 12:4-10)
One of the gifts God gave to me is to use my voice for His glory.
I thought this meant just speaking to large crowds of people and preaching the Word of God.
God has blessed me with many times of preaching in churches and in many countries all over the world. I don’t deserve to do be used by God but He chose me to proclaim the Gospel. It’s pretty awesome!
My first sermon I preached was in 2006. He gave me the words to speak and my voice was filled by the Holy Spirit. Every opportunity God has used me since has been so filled by the Holy Spirit where if God wasn’t there my voice would be nothing.
For the last five months I’ve been at CGA (Center for Global Action). This is a missions discipleship program which gives you the tools you need to step into the calling God gave to you. Then after this you carry out the gifts to bring the Kingdom into a dark world to bring the light of Christ.
God called me to write a book. He chose me to write a book to share my stories to other people. Through the book God is using my voice to share to other people to bring freedom into lives.
On the World Race people spoke into me about writing a book. I said you’re kidding right! I’m not writing a book. My voice is for speaking in front of people only. In the preaching context.
Book writing isn’t fun in fact it’s more like torture. I don’t like the writing process. I hated English in school. Writers spend much time alone to write a book. My preference is to preach or have one on ones with a person.
So God pushed me and challenged me to expand my voice by writing a book. This a channel God has allowed me to share my story to bring freedom to young men and women who are 21-35 to walk in who they are in Christ.
In three months God allowed me to complete a book. What an honor an a privilege by God. I didn’t choose this but God chose me. Wow!
So my book is called “Truths in the Mission Field”. The book is about finding my identity in Christ and many of my personal stories from the World Race.
One of my goals is to finish the book editing, drafts and all by the end of the year.
Wow! Jesus thank you for this gift you gave to me of writing a book to bring freedom to others!
