Hey Everyone!
Just wanted to give you an update of how my month of May went in my life. First of all for those who didn't know yet God has called me to this amazing missions opportunity called The World Race through Adventures in Missions! This is an 11 countries in 11 months mission trip where the main goal is serving to reach lost people for the gospel of Jesus Christ and to help people in need who are hurting in a dark world! Awesome opportunity and so blessed by God for Him choosing me to go on missions for Him!
When I first looked at raising $15,500 cost to go on The World Race I was like, "God how am I going to raise $15,500 in a few months? I don't have the money to pull out of my back pocket right now and so on." Well God has been working on my heart lately in the issue of trust. When I was younger I had my biological dad leave my mom and this tore me apart when I was younger. Some of the circumstances I went through were not pretty, in fact they were down right rough. I started developing a mentality where the only person I trusted besides God in my life was ME! That's right ME!! If I could not do something myself then I did not do it! I did miss out on some opportunities in my life because I did not trust others fully to help me in life.
Since I have been choosen by God for The World Race a month ago now I have to learn BIG TIME how to fully trust in Him to provide! A verse God has pointed out to me during The World Race and how to trust him 100% is Psalm 56:3 which says, "When I am afraid, I will trust you." (Taken from NIV84) I know I have been choosen by God for The World Race but there are times I am afraid to trust God through this process. To be honest with you, I do not like asking people for money. At times I feel like asking people for things is a weakness. This is wrong thinking because God is a loving God and He wants us to come to Him when we need things or just want to talk to Him about our lives.
I had a goal for the month of May of raising $1,250 of support towards The World Race. This projection was based on two things 1. Just being accepted to The World Race 2. Moving out of my place on May 31st
Well as of May 31st God has allowed me to raise $1,504.74 towards The World Race!! Awesome!! Praise Jesus! This is a 20% surplus of my May Goal! God comes through BIG when we are faithful and put 100% trust in Him!
