I don’t have much of a blog formed to post, but after waking my dear mother up at 2 a.m. to catch up on skype, she says people just want to know where we are and what we are doing, so here it goes! Team BLING is in Kiev, Ukraine living on the tenth floor in an apartment with the other all girls’ team Gentle Warriors. We lovingly refer to where we live as the Pozniaky Projects as it is one of many indentical skyrise apartment complexes just off the Pozniaky metro stop. This small town girl is adjusting the the hustle and bustle of life in a big city as we push our way on and off the metro a few times a day to get wherever we need to go. The city streets are always lined with people. There’s a McDonald’s on every corner. There’s break dancing and other street performances every weekend. There’s even a TGI Friday’s with the same menu as home! Needless to say this month looks a little different from the Village life in Romania. Team BLING is getting involved with a few different things this month as the Lord continues to do His thing and open doors in the most unexpected of ways. Currently we are helping wallpaper and renovate at a Street Children’s Rehab Center, attend English club with University aged students, and will be attending a very serious Russian Mafia Game Night this Saturday! Our prayer this month is that whether we have 10 minutes, 2 hours, or 2 weeks with an individual we make ministry our life and share our story, giving glory to God in every single circumstance. This is Team BLING’s last month together (as next month will look a little different) and we are making the most of it! Much more to come soon, but I just wanted to let you know where we were and testify to the age-old saying that “God is good all the time and all the time God is good.”
