I
met Eunice on the dolla dolla coming back from visiting some muslim women
Bethany and I met. She sat down next to me and I just started talking to her.
We began talking about what she does in Tanzania and I found out she was from
Kampala, Uganda. We had a very short amount of time talking but I just feel her
hunger for the truth and for a friend.
I
went to get off the dolla dolla and she asked if she could escort us home. She
was actually going a different direction so we exchanged numbers and went our
separate ways. The following day, she came to the women’s study we were leading
at the church. As we were walking over there, she told us, her father was in
Canada working, and she didn’t know where her mom was. She lives alone in
Mwanza, Tanzania but her sister leaves near her. I asked her if she was lonely
and she said “yes.” I asked her if she felt touched after the Bible
Study, and she said yes, her heart was feeling happy and at peace.
We
invited her to mexican night dinner we’re having tonight and I’m praying
that I get an opportunity to talk more with her about her life and that she
receives Jesus into her heart!
