Wow, where do I start? I’ve been here in Coleraine, which is Northern Ireland and considered part of the U.K. I’m living with 30 people in an awesome house where we have access to a kitchen, washer and dryer and beds. Everyday we thank God for our blessings, because we are quite spoiled. I’m realizing how much I took for granted back home. We have been here one week and its been a challenging, amazing and life-changing week. We started our ministry at the Causeway Coastal Vineyard church with the kid’s ministry! Kids totally wear you out but it was a great time. I had an opportunity to be one of the puppets in the 4 sketch series they had and it impacted me. The whole theme of the kids camp was living out our destiny in Christ. Leroy was the puppet and he told the kids they were special, loved and that God has a plan for them. He was actually a jamaican man, but I could pull off the voice with “no problem.” We filled the mornings with that ministry, playing games, painting faces, praying and just loving on these kids. They learned how to pray healing for people and it definitely was one of the first times I saw a child pray with such fervor and see God answer their prayers instantly. These kids reminded me to enjoy my life, to believe God can do anything and to continue to be open to His love.
The day before we left Dublin we did what’s called ATL, which means ask the Lord and its basically a time of prayer and we ask God to give us clues to go out and touch the people in the city with His love. There was a group of 6 of us and we spent some time praying separately and came back together and formed a list of what God gave us. I had a description of a man, the name Caleb, Barbershop, pharmacy and a blanket. We gathered our list and headed into town looking for what God had prepared us for. We came across most of our clues and we were able to pray for and with people, tell them God loved them and see Him just reveal Himself in us. I kept telling my team we have to find Caleb and so I started actually shouting his name, “CALEB,” while everyone laughed and then began to join me. I really felt we needed to find him. We didn’t find Caleb in Dublin and left a couple days later to ColeRaine. The first day of kids camp we were meeting the kids and I saw a little boy and thought I have to go talk to him. I asked him his name and he said, Caleb. I started tearing up thinking about how awesome God works and that I would be able to pray for him and finally put a face to a name. I loved seeing God just put all the pieces together in my life.
During the afternoons we did servant projects together. One day we passed out light-bulbs to people at their homes, did surveys with young people, visited an old folks home and I think my favorite was going to business owners and cleaning their toilets. I was in a team of 3 and we got a chance to clean toilets and just tell people that we wanted to show the love of God in a tangible way. We also were rejected by most people cause they just couldn’t understand why complete strangers wanted to do such a thing. I actually really enjoyed that and couldn’t help but think God was totally empowering me to do something so out of my comfort zone. I loved being with the older people too. They were so funny and truly welcomed our presence. I met a beautiful teenage girl named Lauren the day we did surveys and I had a conversation with her about God’s love and how close she was to experiencing His life-changing power. She received it and I will continue to pray that God meets her exactly where she’s at. What I didn’t realize was how much God wanted me to experience more of His power and healing.
My favorite day so far was yesterday (Saturday), because we did healing in the streets. We joined the healing team and had the opportunity to get prayed for and experienced outer and inner healing. I watched as two of our team members got prayed because their legs were different lengths and I saw their legs grow. I heard the amazing stories that our leader Mark had to share and miracles right before my eyes, and had to get prayed for. I sat in one of the chairs and my arms which were clearly different lengths grew in seconds through a beautiful prayer, and the same thing with my legs. I kept saying to people on my team that this is going to be our life-style for the next year and beyond. We are getting training tonight to pray for healing for people and we’re going to see the impossible possible.
I physically and spiritually feel different. I feel like God also grew my heart bigger so I could have more love in it. I am experiencing a freedom I’ve never had before and I thank God that He is showing me my true identity. I also love my team and the people God has put in my life as my family this year and I can’t wait to spread LOVE< HEALING and FREEDOM to more people!
