
Thanks for visiting my blog! I am so excited about The World Race and what this adventure has in store for me. God and I have been getting pretty tight lately and I can't wait to see how our relationship will grow even more on this trip. I leave in January of 2014 and will be gone for 11 months, traveling to 11 different countries! For more information about The World Race, click on the link to the left! To start this blog off, in which I will be documenting and sharing my experience before, during and after the race, I'm going to share some random facts about myself!
Firstly, my family… they are pretty incredible and extremely important in my life.

Now for some random facts:
- Born and raised in Indiana
- Currently a student at Manchester University, majoring in Spanish and psychology and minoring in religion
- Studied abroad in Quito, Ecuador for a semester in the fall of 2012
- Addicted to coffee and hot tea
- I love watching movies!
- I have some of the best friends in the world, who are the perfect mix of crazy, spontaneous, supportive and loving.
- I am a firm believer that you can never have too much cream in oreos
- My friends have lovingly put my jokes into their own category: "Betsy jokes."
- I could play card games and board games all day long, especially Monopoly or Scrabble
- I love taking pictures and videos
- Music is my favorite! My taste is very random and eclectic.
- If it were socially acceptable to go barefoot, I would… all the time.
- I played the drums in high school and still love it
- Musicals hold a special place in my heart
- I love adventures! From jumping off bridges to trying scary new foods, I'm always up for an adrenaline rush.
- I'm strangely flexible (see picture at top of post)
