That’s where my team will be spending the next 2 and a half weeks.
It’s an inner city “slum” neighborhood here in San Juan. It’s a 40 minute walk to get to the neighborhood from where we are staying. We are partnering with a church in the neighborhood called “The Remnant”. There are tons of children all over the streets, and we’re going to have the awesome privilege of teaching them about Jesus, English and just love on them!
We work from 9-12 every day except Thursday and Sunday. Then we leave, because the sun is so hot in the afternoon that instead of working, Dominicans siesta it. So my teams takes our 40 minute walk back to our house and then head back to “The Remnant” Tues, Wed and Saturday nights around 5:30 till about 10:00.
Can’t wait to share the stories of all the awesomeness God is going to do!!
Continue to keep my team and the rest of my squad in your prayers, as we are all serving in very poor and unsanitary conditions. Pray that we are kept from disease, and harm.
