I went on the World Race in January 2012 as part of the second generation E squad.  It was an experience that does not compare to anything else in life, in both hard and incredible ways.

Here is what you need to know: I am a friendly and generally joyful woman that really wants to know that my life is committed to the Lord, above all.

I am an adult cardiac nurse that lives in Charlotte, NC.  I come from the small town of Lewisville, NC, and have an awesome family that I love.

I have fallen steadily more in love with Jesus since learning about Him as a child in church growing up.

I love Boston Terrier puppies, mind-bogglingly delicious dessert, hard work, books that feel like friends, hot towels and showers (especially after a year of cold showers and a freakin Sham-wow towel), laughing frequently, swinging (its my therapy), the beach at sunset, and dancing around on people's decks to country music while sipping a Blue Moon or summer cocktail.

The Race changed my life.  If you are considering the Race, know that the phrase "wrecked for the ordinary" will not truly carry meaning until you have been home from the Race for a couple of months.  It feels like both a blessing and a curse most of the time.

As of September 2013, I have accepted a position to again be a part of the World Race, this time as a squad leader for a fresh batch of World Racers.  I will be leaving in January 2014 and would love any and all of you to follow me on this journey.
