I know a girl named Mai. She’s shy, smiles the sweetest smile & laughs the most beautiful laugh. She works at Zion Cafe from 8am to after 9pm, 6 days a week. She’s an expert smoothie maker, loves to draw, read Thai comic books, just learned Dutch Blitz & now she plays like a pro. And I’m amazed at how much she shows Jesus. She gives life & happiness to the people around her everyday, me included. And she has the best hugs, the kind where she wraps herself around you really tight & you just never want her to let go.

Right now I’m stuffed on a bus with 15 other racers, traveling to Phnom Penh, Cambodia. And…all I can think about is where we just were: Chiang Mai, Thailand. I didn’t realize how much I have fallen I love with the city, the people & how Jesus moved in hearts there.

For my team, life in Thailand was working in a café, building relationships with the women working there, serving customers & our squadmates, teaching English lessons to precious Thai students, praying over squadmates in other ministries & worshipping Jesus.

Honestly, my team & squad went through a lot of heartache, frustration & sickness in Thailand. It was rough, to say the least. But God showed up in the darkest hours. Healing, forgiveness & “living on purpose” became tangible, powerful things that we had to choose every day. Our squad stepped up & became more. More than we could be without Jesus. I wouldn’t take back this month or change it in any way.

Some of you may not understand why I’m even doing the World Race. Honestly I don’t understand everything God is doing in my life either. But when I see Mai’s smile & feel her hug, I know in my heart there's no place I would rather be.

So is God asking you to step out & do something crazy that looks kind of amazing & has your name written all over it? Don't even hesitate. It's worth it. smiley
