I am so excited for this opportunity God has given me! I know it will be challenging, but definitely worth it. My first major challenge is that I need to raise $15,500 in order for me able to go, so I'm asking YOU, my friends and family, to help out in any way you can.
Here are some ways you can help me reach my goal:
1. Pray for me! Pray that God will provide all the donations I need to be able to live out this dream of traveling the world while serving him and spreading the Gospel.
2. Donate to my support account through my blog. Click on the link on the left that says 'PLEASE support me,' to make an online donation or for directions on where to mail your check. You can either make a one-time donation, or a reoccuring monthly donation. This is a great option to break your support into manageable amounts each month!
In order to be able to attend training camp in October, I need to have at least $3,500 in my support account by October 1st. I encourage you to pray about whether God is calling you to partner with me in this ministry, and if possible, I would appreciate you making a donation by the end of September.
3. The $15,500 will cover the majority of my expenses on the field, but there are several other costs I'll be responsible for and items I'll need to purchase to prepare to live out of a backpack/tent for 11 months. I've created a registry (thanks to a great suggestion from a teammate) at www.myregistry.com in case you want to support me in a specific, tangible way. You can search for my name and then see the items I'll need, or make a cash donation towards things like flights to training camp and launch, international health insurance, vaccinations, etc. *My goal is to have as much of my gear as possible to have with me during training camp in mid-October.
