Abide…just be.

He has come to dwell among us. He says abide in Me and I in you. I am the vine and you are the branches…you shall ask what you will and it shall be yours. He is the Word Made Flesh. He is. Our God is a God of relationship. He wants to know us. He desires a personal relationship with you and me. He has called us to abide…to be. This is not something we work up, we figure out, or we achieve. We are human beings not human doings. Our righteousness is as filthy rags; it is because of Christ that we are in right standing with the Lord. We can come boldly before the throne of grace. We are seated in heavenly places with Christ Jesus. This is a place of being…abide…just be.

This month the Lord is calling me to a place of abiding, in a country that like the United States is focused on achievements. Japan is a culturally rich country with an emphasis on performance in school, at work, and in life. Being on top, being number one, being better than the competition, setting the pace…so what an interesting month for me to be learning to abide, to be.

Thoughts of a wandering human…found solidly in the hand of God, perfect and complete lacking nothing…thankful to learn at the feet of the Almighty God. Blessings! Enjoy the pics!
