God is faithful.

I think sometimes we just need to reflect on how good God is. He is faithful through and through.

Some of you might know that my time here has been difficult. I came here with the idea of helping the music school that I planted last July. However, once I arrived, problems arose with the ministry and the school ended up not starting its second semester. I was discouraged and confused. I started doubting my purpose in being here. I felt like God had brought me here and then deserted me. For four months I cried and asked God why. I wanted answers. I wanted to have a purpose.

Have you ever felt like Jeremiah 29:11 might not be for you? It says that God has a plan and purpose for your life. Sometimes it is easy to question if this verse is true when things go wrong or don’t turn out the way you’d hoped. That’s how I felt. But I had only one choice to make…Trust in God’s promises or doubt in His promises.

God’s promises are true. May 2nd I opened a music school in Apastepeque, El Salvador. God opened the door and provided a house for me to use for free! Also, He provided the students for the school. Most of the students are new Christians and this is a great opportunity to teach them about worshipping God through music.

My plans didn’t work out, but God’s plans are so much better! I have seven students currently and I am teaching voice, piano, and music theory and Victor is teaching drums. In the future we desire to provide more classes for Worship leaders. Also, we are trying to save up money to buy more instruments. Currently we have one piano and a drum pad. We would really love to have another piano and a full drum set.

Please keep us in your prayers as we continue to trust God with this school. Pray that God will provide the instruments that we need. Pray that we can raise up worship leaders through this school. Pray that Victor and I can be faithful in the ministry that God has entrusted us with.
