I had the best
Valentines Day ever.

For some
reason I have always dreaded Valentines Day.  Mainly because every one I have had has been horrible.  I had my first kiss on Valentines Day
in High school, which was awkward and horrible.  I had my boyfriend of one year break up with me on
Valentines Day.  And then there is
that desire within me and every single girl.  The desire to feel special, treasured, and valued.  I think that is why most single girls
hate Valentines Day.  It’s not that
they hate seeing couples together (pda can get annoying though), but they just
desire that for themselves.

Last night the
men on our team decided to serve the women. They began by making us
dinner.  The night then was filled
with entertainment from juggling, ballet, singing, Taylor Swift, spoken word,
and then prayer.  They gave us
notes of encouragement and flowers.

The guys constantly told us that we were beautiful,
worthy, valued, strong, and a daughter of God.

They said that they were our brothers in Christ and
they were honored to serve with us.
They told us sorry for the wrong impressions that we have received from
other men.  They told us sorry if
men in our past have said we were less than what we are.

They told us that they need us to encourage and
push them into a better man of God.

It was the
perfect example of Christ.  Every
girl desires to be loved, valued, served, and respected.  And the men on our team were His
hands, feet, and voice

last night.  Christ reached down
and poured out His love on me.  He
reached down and hugged me.  He
said sorry for the hurt and pain men have caused me in the past.

He said I was valued, worthy,
beautiful, loved, His daughter, strong, important, and that He was my proud
Father.

The night was
wonderful.  And this is what happens
when the body of Christ serves and loves each other.
We experience Christ.
