I get a lot of different responses when I tell people I am
going on a missions trip for eleven months.  But mostly I hear,

Wow
That’s awesome! I would love to do something like that one day.”

I hear these responses and wonder why does it have to be one
day
?

Why not today?

And then I get excuses

 Excuses

And more excuses.

Well….

I have a job

I have a boyfriend

I have bills to pay

I have my family

I have to finish school

            Or
I hear a lot of I Cant’s

I can’t raise that kind of money

I can’t leave for so long

I can’t live uncomfortably for a year

    I
can’t because I am too busy

Basically it comes down to,

I can’t give up the things I
want out of life because trusting God and taking that step of faith is too
difficult.

I hear these responses and it
breaks my heart because I know that when we choose God’s plans above our own
then we will find a life that is so much more fulfilling.

Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while
anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life.

John 12:25

The matter of the fact is….
The world is broken
and we have
the solution to making
it whole.

We have the

Love of Christ.

The sad thing is….most of the
time
we never really realize how broken our world is.

Facts:

An estimated 2.5
million people are in forced labor (including sexual exploitation) at any given
time as a result of trafficking

An estimated 1.2
million children are trafficked each year.

27 million people are in
modern day slavery across the world.

1 million children are
exploited by human trafficking every year.

32 billion dollars are total
yearly profits generated by the human trafficking industry.

50% of children in Swaziland,
Africa have aids.

130,000 orphans in Swaziland
walk 3 miles a day to eat one meal.

1 in 10 of those children
will live to see age 30.

By 2050 the entire land of
Swaziland
will cease to exist.

These are the facts.

      We
can choose to change them.

What will your choice be?

Isaiah
6:8

Then I heard the voice of the Lord
saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
And I said,

“Here am I. Send me!”
