Soon I was tickling those boys and playing with them all before the clock had ticked to 7am. We had been sleeping in an orphanage where about 25 boys and girls sleep. They played with bugs. They love basketball. And they are beautiful Filipino children. It was a little sad knowing I wouldn’t spend the month with the kids at Kids International Ministries in Manila.
Later that day our crew spontaneously decided to have a worship time beside the pool. It wasn’t long after we began singing “How He Loves Us” that a group of teenage girls began watching us from the balcony above us. They soon came down by the pool and joined us in singing. We later found out they were girls who had been rescued from abusive living situations. These girls are called Josie’s Angels.
It was a sweet experience, and they actually sang a few songs on their own too. That’s the night we were singing with angels.
