So were already in Guatemala doing ministry, but I need to close El Salvador first. Ive been bad about journaling over the last 2 weeks. The last time I wrote anything in my journal was February 24th. That day was a pretty exciting day though. Pretty much the whole day we stayed at the house preparing to lead worship at church that night. I was voluntold to lead worship for the two teams that were staying at our house. During worship there were a couple of times my voice cracked and proved I had little singing experience. The set list doesnt come to mind very easily, but there is one song I do remember While our two teams were doing a skit, the other team leader played the piano while I sang the song Running in Circles by United Pursuit Band. The first line of the song is, Im so forgetful, but You always remind me youre the only one who brings me peace. Ill sing it for you sometime.

I left El Salvador with a lot of peace. Some of the coolest people live there (Victor and Norma), and two other awesome people joined us for ministry (Wes and Jessica). Playing with children at the schools, meeting the teenagers in the park, and visiting the families in the villages was the bulk of our ministry, but attempting to give to and yet ultimately receiving from our hosts and friends was the best fruit of the month. Many stories of healing and blessing were shared from our time in El Salvador, but to me, they dont compare to the endless joy we shared in building relationships.

There is one praise report and one apology that I need to make though The praise is that I my beard trimmer reappeared! Someone on my squad yelled while we were tsvrling on s bus to Guatemala, ï¿½Did anyone leave a Phillips charger at debrief?? That was more than 3 weeks ago. The apology is for all who were hoping for an epic beard. I shaved last night Im sorry. Obviously this was only for the appeasement of one person my mother (ha, maybe not). Let me defend myself though. At one ministry we did that evening before I shaved, this kid named Christian (I really dont think hes a Christian, btw) almost ripped my face off tugging on my beard. Plus, now all the Guatemalan chicas (not that it matters, Pookie Poo) look at me and say, Suave! Just say it with a Hispanic accent. The e makes a long a sound (SWAH vay). Youd shave too. So to close Im sorry and youre welcome.

I love you! More on Guatemala soon!
