Raised in a small town called Roanoke in the great state of Alabama. Sorry to disappoint anyone with this news, but my parents, Bobby and Christi, are the best parents on the planet. Check out my first blog, "Raised by a Servant and Sacrifice," for more on them.

From bentreadwell.theworldrace.orgI have two older brothers, Blake and Brad. Those guys are a part of my story and a part of who I am. They will be highlighted on my blog at some point.

I had an imaginary friend named Elmo. He played with me in the kudzu that once grew behind our house. Elmo will not be highlighted on my blog for obvious reasons.

The Hills, the Potts, the Webbs, the Corbetts, the Heards, the Fryes, the Mulkeys, the Masie, the Mr. Harvey, the Miss Sherry, the Wortheys, the Smiths, the Kirbys, the Motes, the Farmers, the Perrys, the Knights… Those families, and many others I forgot to mention, are from the church in my hometown. These people are a HUGE part of my story.

Gran, he's my granddad, is the man who made me a man. He should be honored, not for teaching me life, but for being the man he is. He loves my grandmother. We call her Mur… or maybe it's Murr.

Then there's MawMaw, my mom's mom. She always took off my shoes when I walked to her house after elementary school. Blue koolaid was prepared on a moment's notice when I needed it most. She still gets around like a twenty-something-year-old.

Then there's the friends who've been introduced into my story over the last year. There's the Thursday Night Football and C4 small groups. These folks only made my story better. They equal true, covenant relationship.

Then there’s me. Well, actually there’s a lot of friends and family that come before that, but since this page is supposed to be “about me,” here I am… There are degrees from Auburn University and The University of Alabama. Roll Tide. I’m an accountant by training, but that’s just the wardrobe. I’m a climber, hiker, dreamer, leaver, learner, lover, adventurer, runner, finder, keeper, server, seeker, voter, jaywalker, introvert, senser, thinker, and judger.  This video commences my race.
