I think thus far the most interesting and unexpected side of this preparation is getting my life in order for the next eleven months. Today I closed out my bank account, put enough in an internationally accessible account to start one, and put the rest of my money towards the trip. It is incredibly weird to think that in one month I won’t be able to call, text, snapchat, drive a car, or do many other things that I do every day at home. Instead I will be working in Costa Rica for a month doing anything that our host ministry needs. I won’t see my family, my friends, the people I go to church with, anyone that I regularly see right now until early december of 2016. All of these thoughts are coming together at once and while it can seem overwhelming I am definitely looking forward to what God has in store for me!
