About me?!?!?
Well O.K.
My name is Ben, but I will answer to Benny, Benji, Benny-Ben-Ben-Ben, Big Ben, Big Ben Roethlisberger (that’s what Siri calls me), Ben’Jammin (or just Jammin for short), Benny the Banger (on the softball field), Notluf, or even my government name, Benjamin Patrick.
I am 27 years old, and yes, I am entirely aware of just how close that is to 30, lol.
I was born and raised and currently live in Panama City, Florida. I have the most awesome family made up of my dad and mom, Jim and Marcia, and one younger sister, Sarah.
I graduated from the University of Central Florida (Go Knights!) in 2007 with a degree in Political Science/Pre Law. Since then I have been working for the Florida Department of Revenue, Child Support Enforcement, Legal Service Unit (if you think that sounds impressive, trust me, it is not, lol)
I am so fortunate to have been raised in a Christian home my entire life. I have always had great examples of Christ’s love in my life, whether I always realized it or paid attention to it, or not. You see, during my college years, I put God on the back burner in my life and had an, “I can do this on my own” attitude towards life in general.
When I graduated from college, I had every intention of going to law school and continuing to live my own life. As most of you know, though, when God has a different plan for you, things just seem to start working together for His plan, whether you realize it at the time, or not.
So, after graduation, I ended up moving back to Panama City and getting a job. Being back home meant that I began going to church again with the family. Slowly but surely, I began to realize that I might have been where I was in life for a reason.
One of those reasons, I beleive, was to be able to become a volunteer youth leader at my home church. For the past few years I have been working with the greatest youth group that there ever was. I’m not even joking here. These guys are the best. Their strength and faith has been such an inspiration to me.

So now here I am, 5 years after graduating from college and now trying to figure out what God’s plan is for my life. I’m still working to figure out most of it, but as of right now, He’s calling me to this crazy-awesome journey in ministry around the world. Where this leads, I have no idea, but I think I’ll be ready for it whenever it comes.
