Last year, when our team of six missionaries was working at Champions Christian primary school in Mukono, Uganda, one of our leaders noticed that a number of children would simply stand outside of the school and peer through the windows. When she invesitigated the situation further, she learned that because there is no free (taxpayer-sponsored) public education in Uganda, many children simply cannot afford to attend school. Thus, they peer through the windows and observe what school could look like, were they able to attend. This, of course, only enslaves them in a cycle of poverty.
This leader of ours decided to take matters into her own hands and invesitgate the cost of a year's education for one child, and upon finding out the cost, she decided to pay it herself, as a sponsor. There was no formal sponsor program, but this did not deter her from overthinking this simple act of kindness. Inspired by her willingness, our team decided to ask everyone we knew if they would be willing to sponsor a child for a year's worth of school. Read about it here!
For a little less than two weeks, we rushed around together and worked long hours contacting sponsors stateside, having them send money for sponsoring children. By the end of the week, we were able to hand our Pastor almost 10 million Ugandan schillings. After we left Uganda, more money came in and we were able to send 63 children to school for the year. We knew, however, that if they were ever to be sponsored again, we would need to move the program online. So now, slightly more than a year later, here we are. We invite you to join with us in "considering others more important than ourselves" and in experiencing the joy of giving. To send one child to school for the year, it will cost $250.00 USD. This $250.00 covers the entirety of the child's education, including:
– The Cost of Tuition for one school year
– Breakfast for the child for one school year
– Lunch for the child every day of the school year
– Transportation to and from school (via bus) every day for the child
– Administrative costs
This money will make an immeasurable impact on the lives of these children. Will you volunteer to "take one"? Will you and your friend "take one" together?
This campaign will run until Wednesday, May 8th, at which point all funds will be send to Mukono, Uganda, allowing the children to attend school.

Can I sponsor more than one child?
Of course! The more children that get sponsored, the better!
Can I partially sponsor a child?
Also yes! We are appreciative of any amount of support you are able to give. Because of the structure of this fundraising platform, you are technically donating into a lump sum as it is, which we then portion out to individual children. Thus, you are able to partially sponsor a child.
