I was accepted on the World Race in May.
I learned the race route in July.
I met my squad and my amazing team at Training Camp in early August.

Finally, after weeks and months of wonder what I was actually going to be doing for the next year I finally have an answer: (well, at least 1/11th of an answer)

My team, Dunamis, along with Team Alethia & Team Karis will be working at the KIM facilities in Manila, Philippines during the month of October. Manila is home to tens of thousands of street orphans. KIM’s purpose is “To prepare children to honor God in their everyday lives in an
environment that cares for their spiritual, educational, physical and
emotional needs.”

KIM brings in street orphans and provides them with health care, an education, a place to stay, and most importantly Jesus Christ. We were told that we will most likely be working in the Academy.

I am incredible excited for this opportunity. KIM combines many of the reasons why I came on the World Race. I will get to share Jesus Christ with kids who would otherwise never get to hear about Him or His wonderful promise of life with Him. I also get to meet basic physical needs. Providing food, shelter, medical care, and education to those who would otherwise have no chance at a better future.
By working with KIM I will be serving Jesus Christ himself.

“‘For I was hungry and you gave me food, i was thrsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me                                          was sick and you visitied me, I was in prison and you came to me.’  Then righteous will answer him, saying,
“Lord, when did we see hungry and feed you or thirsty and give you a drink? And when did we see you a
stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit
you?’ And the King will answer then, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did to the least of these my brothers, YOU DID IT TO ME.
                                                                                                                                                      -Jesus, Matt 25:35-40

KIM not only takes care of the ~30 kids that live on their base, but they also do a large number of projects in the city itself, providing care to hundreds more children than they are able to house. They have construction project in the city around their base, helping to provide clean water to street children. Watch the video to get a better idea of what we will be doing next month. But believe me….I am more ready than ever to kick this thing off and see God’s Kingdom come to Earth.
