My team has been doing unusual ministry this month. It’s been good. But it was something that we never expected to do on the Race.
When we arrived in Montenegro, our contact told us about some of the projects he wanted us to work on while we’re here. One of the projects is a Seed Project that their church was given through Every Home For Christ.
The Seed Project is: there are little business cards talking about two varieties of seeds (in our case, lettuce and cucumber), and also has some information about the Bible. The verses relate in some way with seed planting and just telling people that God loves and cares for them. The seed packets will then be distributed to homes as a gift for them to plant.

For the past 9 days, we have been filling these seed packets with about 300 lettuce seeds and about 16 cucumber seeds. It’s taken a long time to do about 16,000. And we still have some to go. It’s long days of doing the same thing over and over again. And it can be really hard to see what we might be doing for the Kingdom.
But The Lord is so encouraging.
The other morning while I was reading the Word and being filled up for the day, I read Psalm 97 and verse 11 jumped right off the page and into my heart. It says: “Light is sown for the righteous, and joy for the upright in heart” (?Psalm? ?97?:?11? ESV).
Light is sown like a seed. This country is dark–there are only about 150-200 believers in the whole country. And the believers here are planting seeds of light everywhere they go. The seeds that we’re packaging for distribution are going to be another way for His light to be sown throughout the country!

We are participating in the spreading of the Kingdom. It just looks a little different for us this month. We’re planting seeds. We’re sowing light. And the Kingdom of God will grow.
